  • Modifying my Custom keyboard shortcut layout issue

Posted by Olivier Prudhomme on May 15, 2015 at 7:22 pm

Let’s say my custom keyboard shortcut layout is named XP_Favorite_Keyboard_Shortcut
Everytime I want to modify the setting I do Opt-H to go to the preferences.
Then I make sure XP_Favorite_Keyboard_Shortcut is selected in the dropdown men.
I make my changes and I see the dropdown menu switches to [Custom] forcing me to do Save As and type XP_Favorite_Keyboard_Shortcut to overwrite my settings.
Annoying to have to type every time especially if making a typo then it creates a new set of settings.

    Am I doing something wrong?

If you’re doing something wrong, then I am too, ’cause that’s how I do it and it is annoying.

    LOL!!
Yeah we have to be doing something wrong.
No smart software engineer would design this so we have to type every time. It makes no sense.

    Hey,

Did either of you figure this out? I am doing what you both are doing and can’t for the life of my figure out how to do it the “right” way.
