Moderated Status, again?

I recently changed my email addie – my previous email service was closing their business. And, as a result our webmaster recognised that for some reason I was running 2 accounts and that this updating, thankfully, brought to light the mess I had gotten myself into. And during this short period I too was being moderated.

Have you changed your email provider and notified our esteemed Webmaster here?

Sometimes Stephen its just because you probably made some
changes with your email or something…..i am sure Admin will
address you shortly.

How do you know whether you are moderated or not and just exactly what does it mean?

If you’re being moderated, you get a quick lil’ notice that says that your account is being moderated, and it’s usually relevant to a change of emails. It’s one of the methods the COW uses to keep bots and people from signing on and spamming the forums. They wanna know you really exist. 🙂

Hello Stephen,

I just dug into the admin utilities and looked at your account and all of your posts are active, none have been refused or are in an “off” state. (Which is what happens if we elect to disapprove a post for some reason.)

Also, you have only one account and so the customary issues that arise when there are multiple accounts from the same user, do not appear to be the cause.

That would tell me that you are using a word that is in our blocker. We tell you what that word is when that happens. You will know what word is causing it to hang up if you take the time to read the page that comes up when a word is being blocked.

I suspect, as none of your posts are off, that you may have used a word like “specialist” in one of your posts. As you can see here, it contains one of the most popular words propagated by spam bots.

There are a few times when posts will get flagged because of stuff like this and we manually have to look at them and see what is there. It is how we keep signal high and noise low.
