I’ve created paper balls by stitching together newsprint and animated with Stop Motion. Almost all of the video is animated with these photographed spinning spikey balls.

I now need to recreate shapes like these in Cinema for the final part of the animation. I’ve attached 2 images to show the specific style i’m needing to imitate. They don’t need to be exactly the same, but they do need to be soft bodies/cloth objects that when dropped from above will briefly bounce (as paper would on a table). In the video there are 6-8 different ones at various sizes.

I’ve searched various tutorials and posts online but have not been able to achieve the desired results. The closest i’ve found is this forum post on crumpled paper.

Any suggestions on how to achieve this are appreciated.
    Thanks!
