Mocha tracking window with moving background
I’m trying to blur out the background of a drivers side window in a moving car.
I open mocha, draw a matte around the window, and try to track it. But the matte keeps trying to track the moving background in the window, so by the end of the shot the matte is all squished.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get around this?

Yes, you have to set a HOLD OUT matte for the moving background, though if it already very bright you could (possibly) over expose the exterior and CLIP it, but that might cause other issues (just typing out loud).
For the WINDOW track, after the moving exterior junk is covered, set the spline edge a bit larger than the actual window opening, this will allow mocha to get a better TRACK. After tracking, attach a new shape to that track, and adjust that shape for a perfect edge on the window.

If you watch a number of Mary’s videos on this sort of thing, you’ll notice that she doesn’t track the window but rather draws a “C” or “U” shaped spline around the static edge of the frame for the tracking, but then links the spline for the window to that.
