Mobile film out of synch
Posted by Beverley Callow on August 11, 2010 at 6:02 amWhy is our film shot on a Nokia NP5 mobile phone out of synch by 12-13 frames when I take it into FCP?

August 11, 2010 at 9:14 amI think it’s an issue about the frame rate.
I normally work in PAL, it’s been auto imported by FCP as NTSC at 29.97.
The visuals are going faster than the audio.
Sorry if it’s basic but what frame rate should I have this at? -

August 11, 2010 at 12:02 pmI should say the Time-base as well.
Whatever the time base, thing that that stuff is not directly editable.
You should convert it to a moer FC friendly codec.
