Mixing XDCAM and AVCHD footage in Adobe Premier Pro cs6
Hi,
I am moving over my editing workflow from FCP 7.0 to Adobe Premier Pro CS6.
Recently I filmed in XDCAM (35Mbps, 3 CMOS EX1) and AVCHD (20Mbps, smaller single CMOS camera) and need to edit both of them together. It is not clear whether the XDCAM footage is the primary footage or the AVCHD yet.
Browsing through other forums, it seems that the best way to do this is to make the timeline settings to that of XDCAM (since it is a higher quality image) and lay the AVCHD clips (and render as and when needed).
I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with this kind of workflow and if they could share their experience with me.
The OS is Mac OSX 10.6.8
Thanks a lot for sharing,
