    Hello All.

Following on from the thread below.

We are planning a Documentary shoot where I know I will be mixing Varicam/HVX202.

The HVX 202 can do up to 50 fps and deliver into a 72050P @25fps FCP timeline – right?

Our Varicam will do its usual thing based on delivery into a 72060P 25fps FCP timeline.

    The two will never mix??

Will they if I migrate all to 108050i?

I know the Varicam can be cross rezzed to 108050i via deck or Kona 3.

The HVX 202 slo mo footage gets to 108050i how?? Kona3 cross Rezz?

Lots to learn here me thinks

    Best

    Tim

I have done this in NTSC world just fine. I shoot with (3) Varicams, (2) HVX200 with P2 cards and (1) HVX200 with firestore. Shot 720P @ 24P, so the Varicams put redunant frames on the tape since it only records in “Over 60” mode, these frames are removed on capture into FCP via 1400 deck over firewire. The P2 were recorded 24PN to cards so I just import them into FCP and they are ready to go. The FIrestore now does the pulldown removal on capture so they act just like the P2 cards on import. Doing these sets all footage is in the FCP bin at 23.98P and used with multiclip editing just fine. The one thing in your work flow that you will probably not in for capture is the Kona3 Card, but it will help on with editing and maybe post.
