  mixing varicam & Z-1, cut by cut- workflow?

  I was reading old posts about format mixing but no definitive answer to my question.

  I have a project with varicam 24P material & Z-1 60i material.

  some scenes even intercut shot by shot.

  i have a Deck link HD card. I was thinking I would convert everything to some HD format and edit there for eventual HD output for blu ray (don’t know the specs for that delivery yet).

  I am going to start some tests this week to see what looks best

  Looking for workflow ideas.

  I am using FCP studio 2
  have 3.6 TB of space, dual 2.0 G5, 6 gigs of ram
