Mixing same audio from two sources
Hey guys,
Try as I might, I cannot find anything regarding this online, which makes me think I was incorrect in my execution. Failing my possession of a time machine to go back and correct myself, I press on with my question:
I recorded an interview with both a Rode Videomic Pro (at a distance of about 3′ from the subject) plugged into my dslr and a lav mic plugged into a Zoom H1. This will result in two audio files. I’m not so concerned about syncing them (though it might be time consuming without Plural Eyes) as I am actually mixing the two recordings together to get a decent sound. I can’t imagine that it’s just simple enough to do the usual cleanup/processing with each track and then adjust the volume levels to blend.
Are there any tips you might offer for performing a good audio mix of the two audio sources? I use Adobe Audition CC.
Thanks
Andrew
