mixing resolutions…what to go for?
Hi Guys
I’m currently working on a project compiling stock footage that has varying resolutions…there’s the smaller stuff at 608×352, the medium stuff at 720×400 & 720×576, plus a tiny bit of stuff at 1280×720.
So what resolution should I use & export to overall? Is it better to upscale small stuff or downscale large stuff?
Final result will need to be played back via a DVD-video disc, to feed an LCD TV and projector on a video shoot.

I realize this is a late response…
Anyway, since you’ve defined the output as DVD, use that frame size as your standard.
Scale all footage to the frame size of your final output.
Your project settings should also match your desired output. Use the DVD presets.
If your project does not match the the desired output, create a new project that does, than import the original project into the correct one and repair.If your footage is interlaced, it must be deinterlaced before scaling, up or down.
