  • Mixing Footage 1080p & 720p Best Workflow?

    Hi there,

    I have been shooting in 1920×1080 25fps & 1280×720 50fps on a Canon 7D Mk1.

I’m planning to downconvert the 1080p footage to 720p and work in a 25fps 720p sequence. The end film is only released online so I’m happy with 720p.

Do we agree with this choice?

If so, should I rescale the 1080p footage in Premiere or shall I use encoder to re-encode the footage? Which is the best for quality purposes?

    Many thanks,

    Charles

drop your 720p footage into a new sequence to match settings.
Scale your 1080p footage in Pr, in the 720p sequence.
    It’ll work out just fine.
