    The latest firmware, and later released models shoot 29.97. Only the first models did straight up 30fps

    They had a firmware change that makes the 30p actually 29.97. Thanks.

    So mixing interlaced and progressive in the sequence is not an issue. You just want to be sure the frame rates are the same?

    Rafa, the 5D has been able to shoot 23.976, 25 and 29.97 for a while.

    Do yourself a huge favor and do shoot tests. Shoot for 23.98 and for musing 30i and 30p. See how it looks and works. Choose you best option from there
