  • Mixing 3-perf and 4-perf in DI film finish

I am just going through doing film cut lists for a project I edited, and just realized that although the majority of the film was shot on 3-perf, on one day they used a second camera that seems to have been 4-perf. I didn’t realize this until I started checking my lists and no one forewarned me about this. I’ve tried pulling a separate list for this material that is done at 4-perf, and changed the appropriate shots in the cinema tools database to 4-perf, but my list still comes up off from my burn-in’s. I’ve mixed perfs on Avid Meridian projects before but you actually have to digitize the 4-perf into a separate project. Does anyone know how I should handle this in FCP?

    Thanks….
