    Hi!

    I have two clips.

    clip 1:
    1440 x 1080
    25 fps

    clip 2:
    1280 x 720
    29,97 fps

My final export shall be in:
    1440 x 1080
    25 fps

final cut doesnt seem to react when im mixing these two formats in the timeline. but how do this affect my movie? or final cut handles these two without any problems?

    thanks

    Perik

Look closely at the 29.97 footage in the 25fps sequence. Does it look odd and steppy to you? If not, then work away. But if so, then you need do convert it before you edit…with Compressor.

The cadence won’t be smooth if you leave it as is, but if you can’t see anything you don’t like, then work with it that way. If this was for broadcast, they might kick it back because of the cadence issue.

    ok, thanks.

if I shall bring it to compressor, what settings do I want to have there?

Choose the setting you want, in the ADVANCED CONVERSION section. THen in the Inspector, turn on the FRAME CONTROLS and set them all to BEST.
