  • Mixer window has disappeared…can’t find anywhere.

Posted by H.t Baldwin on June 23, 2012 at 1:01 am

Need a quick assist. Have been using the Mixer a lot
the past few days. Today, i must have clicked something and now
i can’t find the Mixer. not the Mixing console, just the little
    Mixer next to Preview window.

I have gone to view to make sure it’s still checked,
It is, but i can’t find it anywhere, not in any of the tabs,
but it is checked. I had it on the edge of my right monitor, so is it hiding off screen now?

Please help. Need it to keep working!

    Thanks

[H.T Baldwin] “I had it on the edge of my right monitor, so is it hiding off screen now?”

    That’s a strong possibility.
Set your taskbar to autohide and see if you can see it and drag it back where it belongs.

This might help: Holding Ctrl + Shift while starting Vegas will reset all prefs and delete cached data prior to loading the program.

It should be pointed out that this will reset all of your preferences, meaning any change that you have made to customize Vegas to your liking, and is a drastic measure that should only be used as a last resort because it will reset Vegas back to the day you first installed it.

I would try: View | Windows Layouts | Default Layout (Alt+D,D) to bring all of your windows back to their original position.

Thanks John – I forgot about the Default Layout. (Come to think of it, I had to use it a couple of years ago when one of my monitors crapped out in the middle of a project).
