(For FCP7), is it OK to have mixed formats (eg ProRes 422sd and dv) on the same timeline? How? Do I just select the frame or frames I want to change and then assume the rest of the timeline won’t change?

    Walter,
FC will cope well with different codecs and sizes in the same sequence, but not with stuff with different time-base.

    I see, thank you.

BTW Rafael, your videos are magnificent, as you well know. I’m watching them over and have to pry myself away.

You CAN edit mixed frame rates…FCP will play them. But not very well. Internally it doesn’t add/remove pulldown properly. When it comes to frame rates, best to have uniformity.
