    Hi,

I recall some blurb about this when v5.0 came out, but now that I actually need to use it I can’t remember what was announced. We will be doing a project with about 70-80% 16mm and then the remainder will be 35mm 4 perf – so we need to be sure the film types are being tracked accordingly.

Are there any docs which deal specifically with this type of workflow. The Xpress Pro manual does not talk of using mixed gauges in the same project, but I did find a Marianna post which mentioned it as being included. Is it a combination of using the Keycode column for the default gauge and then using the Aux column for other types of film? Please enlighten me!

    Many thanks
    Mark

The new feature is the ability to track different gauges directly in the KN Start column rather than across columns using both KN Start and Ink Number.

Set up your bin with KN Start and KN Guage. The Gauge column is a menu select that is accessed via a modifier key (control) click in the field and select gauge of choice. Keynumber will recalculate if a value already exists or will count as such when entered.

FilmScribe also contains the guage columns so it can track in the lists as well.
