    Hello everyone,

So I’m having a bit of an issue here with Sony Vegas. I was doing some editing today and after about 2 hours of work I finished creating subclips for a movie file I was working on. I then went and dragged a new movie into the trimmer and I was about to start work on that clip when I look over into the Project Media window and see it completely empty. I think ‘oh shit’ maybe I clicked something, so I immediately close Vegas, and re-open the project, only to find that the Project Media window is still completely blank. Not only is it missing the subclips I just made, but it’s missing over 50 subclips that I’ve made from numerous video files. Needless to say, I kinda freaked out, since this was at least 30 hours of lost work.

Fortunately, Windows has a back-up copy of the file from a couple days ago, and I’ve only lost today’s work at the moment. But I’m hoping maybe I just hid the files somehow? How could I have deleted them so easily? I’ve been working on this for a while now and I haven’t had this issue before. Just for information, I’ve been using Vegas now for about 1 month.

    Kind Regards,
    Josh.

Maybe you accidentally clicked the yellow lightning bolt icon in the Project Media window (Delete all unused media)?

[Aleksey Tarasov] “Maybe you accidentally clicked the yellow lightning bolt icon in the Project Media window (Delete all unused media)?”

Yeah, I think that’s what I must’ve done. What was weird was that I don’t remember saving. I managed to re-do the work I lost much quicker than I thought so no harm done I guess.
