Missing projects
Greetings:
I recently upgraded to Avid Xpress Pro HD–5.8, and I’ve encountered several problems:1. My old (OMF) projects are not visible when I open the Avid application. I’ve tried moving them to the documents folder––no luck. How can I retrieve/access my old projects in 5.8?
2. My new project is MXF based. After loading the MXF files from an external hard drive, and viewing them, everything seemed fine. Then I quite the application. When I opened up Avid Xpress the media was off-line? Eh? I can’t work on a large project and re-load the media everytime I open the project, right?
Any suggestions, or thoughts––particularly regarding #1––would be greatly appreciated…

Do a search for “avid Projects” in your computer…chances are one version put the folder in one place and the new install place it somewhere else…I have had this happen on most updates…try switching between private and shared projects as well.
