A friend of mine just opened a sequence from another editor and got the error:

Some of the audio filters used in this sequence are not installed on this system. Please reinstall these filters in order to hear them: AUDynamicsProcessor

The AUDynamicsProcessor is an Apple filter – it must have been deleted or moved somehow, but neither of us can find out where it actually lives. Is there any way to reinstall this filter without reinstalling FCP?

    Thanks,

    Ben

Yes, I’ve got a similar probably and its really frustrating.

I’ve got an 90 minute feature film edit that involves 156 scenes each with multiple filters, edits and plug-ins. In one of those nests in one of those scenes I used a waves plugin on a computer that wasn’t mine and now everytime I lauch my edit I get the msg you refered to.

“Some of the audio filters used in this sequence are not installed on this system. Please reinstall these filters in order to hear them: WAVES – limiter”

I can’t find the reference to the plugin anywhere to remove it. Is there any way to find this without opening each and every nest, each and every clip, then double click on them to see if they are the ones with the offendinglimiter on them?
