  I’m on FCP 4.5. Recently upgraded to Tiger 10.4.8 from 10.3.9. I have been successfully running QT 7.1.3 with 10.3.9 since last Sept. I have been through every post on the FCP forum and have tried all of the suggested interventions: trashed the prefs, deleted the numbered QT receipts, plugged & unplugged the JVC DV deck, etc. iMovie recognizes and captures video from both the deck & camera. I have device control in FCP. The firewire port works with other devices, the cable works with iMovie. Any other suggestions? Thanks to all.
