    ??? Very basic use of Gradients: getting the same result from LINEAR as I’m getting with MIRROR.

    Did it get busted?

    It could be the placement of the gradient. A Mirror gradient needs to be placed at the center of any given selection as opposed to the edge with a linear gradient.
