  • Minimizing long sequence preset lists?

    Hello friends,

So a co-worker asked me today if it would be possible to remove the majority of the sequence presets that come up in sequence settings or audio/video settings lists and just have it down to the 4-6 that we commonly use here at this facility. I am the only one who really needs access to the huge lists but the senior editors might just want something stripped down.

I looked in the library folder and I see where all those presets including the long list of blackmagic settings and I am just curious what people think about removing this and any others – is there anywhere else where those live, will it affect fcp negatively in some way, etc?!

    thoughts?

    thanks in advance

    sean

I would make a folder for your unwanted presets and toss it where you know can find it, then move the presets there. Toss your preferences, and open up FCP. I don’t see any reason why FCP would freak out. It makes alot of sense to do this in your scenario. If it does freak out, just toss the presets back.
