  Mini DV tape audio not heard on FCP

  I am importing footage from a mini DV tape. Video and audio is being recorded – I know cause the meters are going and the audio appears on the timeline. The View frames is correct but I am not hearing the audio in FCP. These are 2 tapes I got from a client. A Sony and TDK. I hear audio on other projects.

  When I import footage from my own DV tapes I hear the audio.

  Any thoughts?
