  Mini DV Cam Tapes Not Playing on Sony DSR 40

  Have a DSR 40, which plays back many of my DV CAM tapes, but not all. The tapes that will not play, were recorded on a Sony Camcorder HDR-HC1 , they were recorded NTSC, and they would play back in the camera (the camera no longer works).

  Anyone have any info on why these tapes won’t play?
