Mini Convertor power
I am about to purchase a couple of blackmagicdesign sdi to fiber mini convertors.
Just wondering if it is ok to power the units with 12volt lithium ion camera batteries as they are used in remote locations.Would the drain down of the battery cause any damage to the convertor or would it just stop working when the available power dropped below what it needs? I plan to make adaptor cables to suit.

Hi Peter, I’m interested to know what you found with powering miniconverters using external 12v batteries. What battery are you using and how long does it last for? regards, Scott
