Microphone Similiar to Rode NT3
I’m in the market for a new mic to use during indoor interviews. I usually just interview one person at a time (without a boom op), but sometimes the need may arise for 2-3 people at once. I still mount overhead though with a boom pole.
I was leaning toward the Rode NT3, but I need something this weekend and the only place I can get a mic from in time is out of stock. What other mics in the $300-500 range would anyone here recommend that are as good as this one, or even better (in this price range). Thoughts on other mics around $600 are also welcome. Thanks!

Hi Adam,
You might want to look at the Audio Technica AT-4053a (I hear there’s a 4053b variant out now).
It’s a nice hypercardioid and runs about $ 499 at most places. Sounds really good and it’s much lighter in weight than the NT3.
