I have a large library of clips for a single project that has been separated into certain folders, key worded, rated, in Prelude, then added to sometimes also in Premiere. We are wanting to create individual clips for stock footage sales. We want the metadata to transfer over from ingestion with Prelude, through edit, trim, and color corrections with Premiere, to export with Media Encoder.

The only way I can figure to get these as individual clips preserving the same name is to create sequence from clip. This gives me the same file name…however. The metadata doesn’t transfer over in the sequence. How can I get this to work…OR…is there a better and more efficient workflow I should be using? Creating all of these sequences has been a nightmare really.

FCPX has a plugin that will export a sequence and break up the clips used into their individual clips on export. Primaries Exporter is the name.
