Merging video with audio in CS6 turns stereo audio to dual mono
I’ve scoured the internet for an answer to my seemingly simple problem, but can’t seem to find an answer.
I’m currently trying to sync a large amount of Video clips shot on a Canon 7D with audio recorded stereo from a tascam DR100. I recorded with a single mic, so although the audio technically is mono, I prefer that it shows up as stereo in Premiere.I ran across a strange issue today in merging the clips. After I synced and merged them, I noticed that the audio attributes of the audio once it was merged with the 7D footage had turned from stereo to dual mono. I can’t seem to figure out how to counteract this problem. I need to do either 1 of 2 things: Figure out how to prevent the audio from being switched from stereo to dual mono, or find out how to link the volume keyframes of 2 mono audio channels in my sequence.
I’m editing on a iMac with adobe premiere pro CS6
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated
