    Heyo!

So I’m fairly new to Illustrator, I’m more used to working in Photoshop and AE. I was trying to teach myself how to create a character in Illustrator and import it into AE so I could rig and animate it. I’m trying to figure out a way to merge the strokes to the color and gradient I filled them in with while maintaining vector editing capabilities. When I import the character I made into AE, he is still in vector, but the strokes are still selectable, which is something I do not want to be happening.

I’m working in CS 5.1 so I may be kind of slow in figuring things out unless you happen to know CS 5.1. Attached is an image of my character in Illustrator if that is helpful at all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help!
