Merging Sessions/EDL’s
Please put me out of my misery.
Is it possible to merge two or more sessions into one?
If not, is it possible to load two or more EDL’s and have one session created?
My individual EDL’s for DPX’s V1 & V2(VFX/TIMEWARPS), XDCAM/HDV QT’s work great.
AAF doesn’t work, clips merged as one, in the wrong place etc.
EDL’s > FCP +XDCAM MOV’s > XML = Black frames for EDL’s/dpx
Having multitack in v8 is great, but unless I’m mistaken it only works with FCP XML’s pointing to QT media.
Have specced machine, using 8.0.1 Lite.

Sascha really wants 8.1 and he’s right,
8.1 will allow to import edls as layer. That would sort it! -
Guessed as much. Though I’m not complaining, because what you can do with this free piece of software is mind blowing.
I’ll certainly be reccomending the purchase of the full version.
