merging from water

The problem I am having is the ripple effect. I can’t seem to make it a believable perspective.I can’t make the ripple look like it’s coming from a table top and not flat on my screen.

I’ve said this before… But this time I mean it! I’m going to try to put together a tutorial this weekend that will help clear some things up for you, it will focus on some more advanced methods of using the Distort > Displacement Map effect.

I’ve tried to explain some in the forum before, but I think it’s just a little too involved.
