Merged Clips & OMF’s
Hello
I have had a good look for info on this but am yet to find a solid solution to what I thought would be quite a standard workflow.
I am prepping for an multi-cam edit with synced sound. I have researched the consequences of merging the video and audio clips and from what I have gathered once this is done the OMF I create will not refer back to the original audio files.
Is there a way to work around this, so that I can provide the sound mixer with the TC and clip references they would need, whilst still having the convenience of working with merged clips?
All help greatly appreciated.

An OMF will refer to the actual audio in the timeline and nothing else. Whatever you want to have in audio post must be in the timeline when you make an OMF.
Most audio systems can import more than one OMF into their timeline so you could export and then make a separate OMF from another timeline with the original sync audio.
