  • Merged audio clips replace on timeline ?

    Hi folks.
I have a timeline with an (almost) locked edit on it. To create this I used the footage and audio from the camera. Just because I was working with the Director beside me and came to the project late and the film is short I decided to do the cut first.

So as it stands I have merged all the clips with the audio from the sound guy. They have the same file names as the camera video/audio clips on the timeline. These are now in a bin in the project pane. I was curious as to is there a way to quickly replace those edited clips on the timeline with my merged clips from the bin? And to keep the edit points.

I seem to have a vague memory that you could hold ctrl ( I am on a pc) and drag a clip over another and it would replace it.

Any help, tips or advice would be most welcome as it would safe a ton of time.

    Cheers

    Peter

Alt drag. You’ll get a little green + sign.
