I would like to merge individual tracks of a former veg file to a veg file I am currently working on. What is the best procedure? I tried the import option and ended up with single audio and video tracks. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

You can either cut and paste the events from one open project to another, or you can drag the veg file of one right onto the other timeline and it will be represented by one audio and video event. (assuming you have Vegas 6).

It seems when I open a new file, the current file that was open is no longer available. I don’t know if my settings are creating the problem. Also, when I “select all” on the previous file I am not able to paste it into the new open file. NOTE: I am using 6.0d.

    Thanks again.

You have to open Vegas TWICE and open both projects at the same time. Then you can copy/paste between the two projects – but only as long as Vegas is open TWICE.
