  • merge layers together…?

First of all thanks for the previous help. Worked out great.

My question is about layers. I import my logo files from Illustrator into Pro Animator just like anybody else. But, I’m working with some third party files and that person has created a lot of layers. Where possible I have combined elements by color within Illustrator.

But in Pro Animator it’s still too many layers flying arround the screen. Is there anyway to tie or lock layers (two or more) together. So that the movement of one layer is same as another and happens at the same time?

Hi, I am pretty new to PA and I have not found anyway to link layers (Object Tracks) yet. The only thing I can find is to merge the layers into one so that they can then be moved together. Selecting a track you want to move, click on the Track Commands button / Move selected objects to Track/Track 1 (e.g.). Continue doing that till you have the group you want. I would suggest you move the object in relation to the Track 1 before the attempting the operation. Not ideal but a workaround.

If you use AE then I am sure you can “parent layers” within that application.

    Thanks

I have also read you can merge scenes (on the file menu) P478 of the user PDF.

    Thanks
