  Memory leak on a Mac running Avid?

  I’m running Avid Media Composer on a Mac Pro 3,2 Quad Core with 18 GIGS of RAM. And with no bins open I already have a usage of 70 percent of memory and with 2 or 3 bins open I’m running out of memory! The Clear Bin Memory tab isn’t of much use and the memory tab states that I only have 2 gigs of free memory and a total memory of 2 gigs… I’m running Avid and no other applications….
  What’s the problem here?
