I have a question regarding clearing media using the Media Tool. It’s been awhile since I did this and have some questions. I’m running Xpress Pro 5.8 and needed to make room on a 230 gb internal hard drive on my Mac. I opened the Media Tool, then highlighted a particular project where I had used the internal drive to store media on, etc. Instead of deleting just the media, I also deleted the pre-computes and master clips for the project since I won’t need to work on it again.
    – Did I actually delete the media for that project on this internal drive?
    – Can I use this drive for future projects? Has this drive been compromised
    in any way?

I would like to use this drive as I have several external drives, daisy-chained to a G5 Mac and have had some playback issues on some projects because they’re connected.

As I said, it’s been a while since I used the Media tool.

    Thank you in advance

If you selected the media then yes you deleted it.

The media tool wouldn’t compromise your drive. Did you see space free up?

    Hello,

I deleted the media, the precomputes ( which I understand are the effects ) and the master clips, as it’s a very old project and I won’t be working on it again. Did this cause any problems?
