  media question about maxell vs Fuji –

  Hi, Our media suppliers sent us a couple of hundred Maxell DVD-RPW. – evidently they were out of Fuji

  I always use Fuji media. Back when we used to burn DVD’s with stand alone decks (Panasonic DMR T2020’s ) Maxell media gave us problems. Fuji worked much better in that machine so I stuck with it even over time.

  Well… The Maxell media did cross my mind when it arrived but I sent out some projects and now I’ve got a call in about some of the discs skipping.

  Some do – some don’t all on the same machine. I’m really proactive about burning and careful not to fill up a disc to full capacity and write my 8X media at 2x, burn with Nero 6.2 instead of Vegas.

  I haven’t had problems in a very long while (other than the one project where the clients player did not play the audio at proper level)

  So.. I wantd to ask if anyone else has had any question about maxell dvd-r media – just looking at what has changed – if it’s me or the media.
  they are replacing the stock with Fuji so I’ll reburn the project with no change to see if that’s it, but wanted to get a feel if anyone else had good or bad luck with certain media.
