Media Performance Warning? Why?
What triggers the “Media Performance Warning”?
I have started seeing this periodically since a recent update, probably 6.0.4 but may have been one of the Pro-apps updates.
What’s puzzling me is that the clips it chooses appear to be random. For instance, after a full day of digitizing, it notifies me the next day that one of the dozens of clips I digitized yesterday is “not optimized.” As far as I can tell, it is identical to every other clip that was digitized including it’s media drive location. I’ve used Media Manager to copy it, as suggested. Still pops up.
As it happens, this one is a small, inconsequential clip.
What triggers this warning?

I have only seen this with DV .avi files captured from a pc (understandable they are not optimized)
but lately I have seen this occur on 6.01 with only prores sd captured clips and only occasionally.what codec are these clips?

This last case is 1080i (actually psf) ProRes422 HQ. The other cases may have been ProRes SD or DV but probably not from avi. Possible though.
Odd that out of about 4 hours of identically digitized material, only one 30sec clip is prompting the warning.

yeah its an odd thing, but I wouldn’t worry about it too much, it only
has to do with Realtime performance and should not really pose a problem.
