I followed the instructions layed out in LYNDA.com Final Cut Pro Essential Effects, Ch. 15, “Round-Tripping Between Final Cut Studio Applications: Soundtrack Pro.” I sent my audio clip to Soundtrack Pro, edited the clip and hit save as the tutorial says. When I went back to Final Cut Pro, it updated beautifully as it says in the video. However, I did not update any of the settings in Soundtrack Pro, as it did not mention this in the tutorial. So, as long as I stay at my local terminal, the media stays connected perfectly, but when I move to the networked server, and pull up the FCP file, the audio files are marked as “offline.” When it asks if I would like to reconnect the files I hit locate, but the file it is trying to find simply says, “render.” Does anyone know what this is referring to?
