  • media manager–backing up entire project, not just sequence

    hi all,

i want to backup my entire FCP project…all media, all sequences, etc.
and i’m assuming i should use media manager.

as i understand, media manager works by first selecting/highlighting one sequence and then backing up.

but what if i want to backup entire project and not just that one sequence?

    thanks for any advice.

Kind of unnecessary, but use the ‘Move’ function of Media Manager. make sure nothing is selected in the browser.

    thanks jeremy…

but doesn’t ‘move’ just move the footage from one drive to another?

basically, i want a clone of my master drive. so, i’ll have two exact copies of the same drive.

    best.

    Then use Copy.

[goro toshima] “as i understand, media manager works by first selecting/highlighting one sequence and then bac”

If you select nothing in your Browser window and then perform a Media Manage it will manage the whole project.
