I have a HDV 720p30 sequence that also includes 10-bit NTSC clips. I plan on creating two versions of this edit and I want to take all into a 10 bit uncompressed NTSC sequence.

I plan on using MM to recompress the HDV into a new 10-bit media letterboxed for the NTSC sequence. But I don’t want to recompress all the NTSC material already captured and edited into the HDV 720p30 sequence.

What is the best approach to this? I was thinking about several senarios. One, deleting all the NTSC 10-bit in the original HD sequence before the recompress, then pasting them back in via copy paste.

Or should I make the NTSC clips offline and do the recompress and simply relink them once I open the new project? I’m not certain Media Manager will even allow offline clips to slip past the recompress step without wanting to recapture them.

I’m pretty sure you need to remove all of the NTSC footage first then put it back in.
