  • Media Manager adding files to timeline in reverse order

    Hello,

I’m suing Vegas 8b and having some problems with MediaManager(MM). When I select a group of files in MM, and then add them to the timeline they get added in reverse order!?!

For example, I have files 001,002,003,etc. If I select 001,002,and 003 from the EXPLORER tab and then drag them to the timeline they appear in the correct order, 001 first, 002 in the middle and 003 at the end. But if i use MM to drag those exact same files to the timeline 003 is first, 002 in the middle and 001 last!!

Is there some obscure setting or preferences box I do or don’t have checked. This is very frustrating since it doesn’t seem to matter if I select files from the bottom-up or top-down. Or is this just a bad case of user error?

    Regards,

    Jason

Are they appearing in the correct order within Media Manager?

If they are not, how about sorting them, by name, so that they are in the correct order and then dragging across?

    Interesting . . .

    Grazie

What you are seeing may be a Windows characteristic. It depends on how you select the group – top down or bottom up. Do you click on #1 and shift click on #3, or the other way around? If I am correct then the order on the timeline will be different both ways.
