media management
I am looking for a good media management tutorial.
I have been editing on assorted Avid systems since 1995, but have never really had the need to archive a project. The programs I edit have either been highly time sensitive and/or disposable, or, as a freelancer, there has always been resident tech to back things up. Howsomever, I am just finishing a month-long project which my client is 99% sure will be modifying in a year’s time. They will be buying an external hard drive to archive this project. So I am looking for the way to move all the files on to that drive, and get them back into the Avid in 2011, assuming the world is still here.
Suggestions?

There are some media management tutorials here: https://community.avid.com/media/g/techniqueshow-to/tags/media+management/default.aspx
You should just be able to use the consolidate function to move just this projects files.

just what i am looking for, thanks. i have a deadline staring me in the face, so i will look at them in great detail soon- but they look like just the thing….
