I have a finished and color corrected a 32 minute DVCPRO HD 720p 60 23.98 sequence. I have been able to export a self-contained movie file but I need to send a media managed version of the project to the client. When I run media manager on my final sequence and when I try to open that sequence in the resulting media managed project FCP crashes. There are several other nested sequences in the timeline and they open fine. The master sequence does not. I have tried making the media offline and reconnecting as described in Ken Stones article from several years ago. I have duplicated the sequence and can open it without a problem in the original project but nothing works in the media managed version. I have tried to export an XML and import that but I am only able to import the XML without the filters which leads me to suspect that it is a corrupt filter in the sequence but with a finished piece of this length I have no idea where to even begin to find the “bad” filter. If anybody has any suggestions I would be grateful. If I have left any details out that may help with a diagnosis or solution I would be happy to fill in. Thank you for the input.
