    Hi all:

Re-encoding scores of movies per thread below that some of you may have read (640 >720, edit, then back to 640, UGH.)

So, tried in Compressor and After Effects, re-encoding 640×480 QT’s to 720×486 D1 pixels in ProRes codec, progressive (no field order specified), then import to FCP. RT fx work, finally, but upon import I get dialog box that says (paraphrasing here):

“Following files not optimized for FCP – highly recommended that you recapture media or use Media Manager to create new copies, blah blah blah…”

Is there a Compressor or AFX render option I am missing here?

if your clips look OK in FC, don’t worry.Just uncheck “Warning when importing not optimized media”. In the preferences.
