  Media Composer3 no deck vista64

  Hello,

  I recently installed vista ultimate 64 and media composer 3.

  Every thing seems to work except I can’t connect a 1394 device at all. I am able to capture in other programs like adobe and edius. I had the same problem under xp pro, but was able to capture with xpress pro 5.6. That was ok because I could capture in xpress and edit in media composer easily enough. I can’t run xpress in vista 64.

  I thought the problem might be the nvida driver. I have a quadro fx 1500. I think that I was able to install the 169.47 driver despite it not being a signature driver. I verified it with RivaTuner but device manager still display that another nvida driver is installed. This could be the problem…

  I uninstalled and let window reinstall the Texas 1394 driver. In the past avid required a specific 1394 driver. I don’t know if this is still the case.

  Any advice would be great.
