Media Composer 6.5 (and soon 7) system requirements question.
Hi guys, I’m thinking about switching to Media Composer (Vegas has crashed on me one too many times) and I was over checking out their system requirements page at
https://www.avid.com/US/products/media-composer/specificationsThey reckon you need to have a QUADRA FX family graphics card. Does this mean something like a GeForce GTX 760 will not work???
I’ll need to buy a new graphics card, but I am not in a position to fork our for a QUADRA in addition to the entry price for Media Composer.

No it doesnt mean that anything else wont work. it means that its not been tested and verified by Avid.
Personally I have NEVER had an avid certified computer or used any graphics card that was “approved” and have never had any problem whatso ever. Im on MC6.5.
But I cant say what will work either, just that Ive had no problems.
