  Media Composer 6: Avid kept their promise

  If you haven’t seen it already, the Cow published my most recent article about Avid MC6 and in particular, the operation of the AJA Kona boards is what really impressed me. Probably the most snappy controls I’ve never had, even compared to FCP. One thing I forgot to mention is how tightly integrated the AJA Control Panel is with the application. Anytime you need to make an adjustment in Avid that is controlled by the AJA Control Panel, it automatically launches. Very nice integration. Add to that the fact that our ethernet SAN works with it too is a double bonus.
